They found that they were making money on the rooms but losing money on their restaurant and lounge section. They came up with a new concept to separate the one from the other and opened their first Drury Inn in Sikeston Missouri. Up until today Drurys is still a family owned hotel business with 130 hotels in 20 states. The Hotel website provides customers with information of all locations, the ability to book on-line, special deals such as membership discounts and award programs. They offer gift certificates, and provide conferences for meetings.
